namely the Warren Commission, which investigated the Kennedy Assassination 40 years ago. Mark Sobel got hold of the transcripts of their deliberations and has made it into a feature film, which will be shown at a film festival in Dallas April 25. Mr. Sobel graciously granted me an interview about the film and one of the stars, Sam Waterston (I have a Sam Waterston site). For those who are interested, please check out the interview at:

Mark Sobel. Here's his comments about Bush and the 911 Commission:

Do you find it telling that George W. Bush compared to the Warren Commission his recently convened Commission to investigate "Bad Intelligence" leading to the war on Iraq?

I thought it made releasing THE COMMISSION now more timely than ever. "Those who do not remember the past are condemned to repeat it." In the case of the Warren Commission, it would be "Those who have never been fully informed of the past"

(... I just found it humorous that in believing that he was citing "integrity," Bush inadvertantly likened his own Commission to something that history will certainly conclude was a criminal Obstruction of Justice. :-)
