I love a good 'compare and contrast' argument! Kudos for avoiding the scriptural one-up-man-ship of the fundies. Your observations of this cultural dissonance regarding marriage will appeal to people who rely on their ability to think about an issue.

Seems to me that the right has their work cut out for them; eventually their argument will sink like a leaky boat. Hell, they're desperately bailing water, even now.
