Are you still glad that UCONN beat Duke????????
I sure as hell am, and would be even if I weren't a UCONN fan. I knew there was some gloating after Saturday, and I say, what the hey, why don't rekindle those warm feelings we all had???

2. Hell yes! And I'm glad that Minnesota beat Duke, too,
in the women's tournament. Otherwise the Husky women would have been facing a rematch of that monstrous, nationally televised choke job.

Then again, the men faced the same situation against Ga. Tech -- not a problem...

Come to think of it, I'd probably be glad if Fallujah State beat Duke. Coach "K" is a dittohead who once said, during the bombing of Libya, that he "wished he were over there with them". Don't we all.

12. I was sort of hoping UCONN women would face Duke....
...mainly because they women were a little off this year, but seemed to get up for big games (except Duke, of course in the regualr season) and there was the revenge factor. Also, the women ALWAYS get up for Tennessee, so I was rooting for them instead of LSU.

7. Glad? Try ecstatic and then some!
I despise cheese, baseball, Florida Gator anything and Duke basketball, not necessarily in that order.

My future bet on Connecticut to win the title was obviously in jeopardy vs. Duke, so I hedged the wager by taking Duke + 2 1/2 points. The ultimate wagering fantasy: Duke to lose by 1 or 2 so my future bet was still intact yet collect on Duke plus the points.

That meaningless 3 pointer at the buzzer by Duke (79-78) was among the most glorious moments in recent sports history. Using the backboard from 30 feet, what genius!

I also enjoyed it when Duke's women were balling at the end of the loss to Minnesota, especially Beard. No wagers on that one, just pure Duke pain and remarkable to behold.

Now if Adam Scott can somehow pull off the Masters (at 45-1 odds), my Athens money will be secure already.

11. You're partly right...
...they are not a mature or experienced enough team to hold on. Then again, UCONN is a much better team, and decided to show it in the last 3 minutes, and Duke had no answers.

14. They seem to have Duke's number these days...after years of Duke
having UCONN's number.

And now that Alana Beard is gone, I don't think that the Duke women will be a factor anymore!

15. you're right
And I think someone's going to have to start asking questions about why the Duke women haven't been able to make it with all their talent and one of the best players in the game.

(Notice I didn't say "the best" -- we know who that is!)

16. Yeah, and the AP Player of the Year Award this year was a joke...
...Alana is a good player on a mediocre team, that doesn't have a strong schedule, and looks good because she's really the only one on this mediocre team who scores.
