Poll question: On a scale of 1 to 5: How much do you love your job
Today I think I'd be in serious negative numbers

So rate your job on a scale of 1 to 5 with 1 being a job worse than bedpan duty during Rush Limbaugh's rehab stint and 5 being the best job ever ever ever ever

2. 4.
I'd rather be doing something of more importance to the world in general, but I can't be choosy in this economy. At least I am treated well here.

9. I'm somewhat torn.
My pay and bennies are great. My bosses leave me alone. I have a great work environment...lot's of perks.....very modern office.....beautiful views.....tons of ammenities....but........

It's boring.

I long for the days when I used to work for the Space Program. Crappy pay, lousy bennies, had to live in a hellhole........but.......

DAMN! It was exciting. And the people I used to work with were the best group of people ever.

So there ya go.

One reminds me of how much I dislike helping computer idiots.

The others are kinda nice.

11. I love my job.
The benefits are great, lots of personal time, vacation time, sick leave and holidays. But the pay sucks.

Best boss on the planet (I worked for her for four years from '95-'99), love the day-to-day activities, love the people, feel like I'm making a difference, decent pay and benefits....I'm 46 now and PRAY that NOTHING changes until I retire at 65!!!

I hate my job so much it hurts. Work for an outsourcing firm. Talk about a guilty conscience. :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :(

Oh yes and the work is boring, nobody takes responsibility or ownership of ANYTHING no matter HOW meaningless. EVERYTHING is a fight.

14. I voted 2, but it's closer to 1.5 right now.
I'm hoping the feeling will pass, but I've started updating my resume just in case.

20 year firefighter; pay is ok, used to be one of the highest paid departments in the state, now we're somewhere in the 40's.

24hr shifts with 3 days off, medical coverage, plenty of sick time (accumulative over the years), vacation and personal days. The people I work with are more like family than coworkers... and we have several
excellent chefs to prepare home cooked meals.

16. I Enjoy My Work
but I have an animatron for a boss. She doesn't care even a little bit about the people who work for her. I've never seen anyone so devoid of empathy or compassion.

If I had a better boss, I'd love my job.

I like and hate it at the same time. I work for the state so I have good pay and bennies, lots of vacation, holidays galore, etc. Plus my boss is very nice and flexible as all get out. I work at home once or twice a week which is a great perk.

However, the work is boring, the bureaucracy stinks, and I'm not working in my field (museum education).

24. Being manic depressive, it's either 2 or 4... or
when I'm suffering extra-badly from bipolar, it's 1 or 5.

It really depends on what's going on at the time...

26. I absolutely LOVE my job!
Even though I occasionally have a bad day, 99% of the time when I wake up and get ready to go to work, I'm almost amazed that they actually pay me to do this!

:D
