"Tough Crowd" with Colin Quinn

Last night I watched the entire show for the first time. What a waste. Offensive, bigoted, jingoistic, smarmy, and supremely unfunny. The token "progressives" they had on the show were repeatedly shouted down by a couple of refugees from "The Man Show". It was like "Hannity and Colmes", with Hannity on steroids.

Quinn can't enunciate. Sounds like he's drunk.

Won't be watching again.

1. I've watched this show...

...in a bar with the TV's sound turned down and the juke box blaring and the show still offended me.

2. i kind of like the show

i don't go out of my way to watch it, but often if i watch the daily show i end up watching a bit of tough crowd. at first i didn't like the way colin spoke, but now i kind of enjoy it. it is almost like he talks like a normal guy who doesn't speak that well publicly, and i can identify with that. he says some funny things, but it takes being able to decipher what he is actually saying. as for the guest they very from show to show, what you have to rember is these people aren't there to discuss the issues intelligently, they are there to make jokes about current events and each other. they are "comedians". so yeah, the show is supposed to be funny no enlightening.

But they can only seem to attempt it while being racist, xenophobic, and misogynistic. The "bad boy", "ain't I naughty" pose doesn't work for me.

But like what you like. Life's too short.

6. His show sucks

It was kind of funny at first, but then he started whoring for Bush, and I haven't been able to stomach it since. I never watch it anymore. As soon as the Daily Show is over, I switch the tv over to Futurama, or Family Guy as the new lineup seems to be, on the cartoon network. I'll never watch Quinn's show again.

Colin Quinn is drunk. Comedy Central obviously doesn't care if people go on the air drunk. Have you ever watched the man show? Adam Corrola was drunkabout 95% of the time.

Doesn't change the fact that he sounds like he's drunk. And I often think he skipped the "learn humility" part of recovery.

10. I love it!

I like watching Colin stammer and stumble around, and especially enjoy when he gets really frustrated and throws a fit. :)

I also like some of his regular guests a lot (of course they're the more moderate / liberal ones), such as Greg Giraldo and Judy Gold.

One thing I really like about his show is that it's stimulating. I may think they're moronic, primitive, ignorant, or whatever... but hearing these yahoos comedically try to defend their views is just flat out funny to me.

11. It's barely tolerable, but only when the liberals are mean and funny.

The so-called conservatives (like the small-headed bald guy, the obnoxious white guy, and the obnoxious black guy) are an embarassment to public education. However, there are occasionally feisty liberals who seriously mock these losers. That's funny.

Like other posters in the thread, it's like a Western shootout when the Daily Show ends. *Click*
