12:45 on thanksgiving day and I am off to work an 8 hour shift

3. went to work at 4 am this morning, just got home

5. Christmas season...

I keep hoping one day we'll get sane about Christmas shopping season (i.e. I don't wanna hear shit about ho-ho-fucking-ho until Thanksgiving is over, thank you very fucking much), but as evidenced by the fact that local radio stations have been playing Christmas music for the past 2 weeks and the fact that the local big box stores started Black Friday a good 12-hours early, I guess insanity is what I have to look forward to.

6. Got up at 4:30 AM for a 12 hour shift...

now home and getting ready to do the same tomorrow.

7. I started a month long shift on a ship in the Gulf Tuesday.

I missed Turkey Day with the fam, but I'll be (like the cheesy song) home for my 8 month old's first Christmas.

It's hard to be away, but it's good to have work and a family to work for and come home to.

My sympathies on working retail today. Been there, done that.
