Poll question: Favorite song by GENE PITNEY?
At last night's staff meeting of WHUS (the radio station at UConn), I met a new staffer who told me he has just finished the first draft of a 400-page biography of Connecticut rock 'n' roller Gene Pitney. He wrote the book with Pitney's cooperation, and has had unlimited access to the man's personal archive, which includes unreleased recordings that hardly anyone has ever heard!

As such, I thought I'd ask my fellow DUers what they consider Gene Pitney's best record.

3. "It Hurts to Be in Love" is a strong second, but...
..."The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance" wins with me.

Was this actually supposed to be in the John Ford film of the same name?

It's Gene Pitney's best, IMO.
