This has been going on for weeks and I don't know how to make it stop. Obviously if I press 1 then I am saying I am Jon, which I am not. But if I press 2 as I have been then the calls keep coming.

I don't know what to do.

1. Press 3...
None of the above.

Or press 1 and see what they say. Perhaps you'll find out a contact where you can call them and inform them of their (stupidity) error.

2. Just hang up. Sometimes, if you press anything, a charge will show up on your bill, as if you gave
them permission for something or another.

Just hang the damn phone up.

Or don't answer when you see that number calling in.

3. You could also...
Talk to your provider about how to block certain numbers. We can do it on our new phones but I have no idea how.

6. You could try calling the police. Not 911- the non-emergency line.
And say you're getting harrassing phone calls.

I know someone who tried this and it ended up shutting down a telemarketing operation, if only for a day.

Or you could try the phone company.

8. Watch it. If you press one you will be arrested for solicitation!
