Kitten thread: I got my new kittens on Sat

Mo; the boy cat is having trouble adjusting to the new pad. Has been under the couch since Sat. When I look at him, he glares and hisses. He has been eating and pooping though.

Carly, the girl renamed Sqeaker, ,causes that is what she does is a lot more adjusted. She hangs out, rubs on everything and goes squeak. She is pure white, with eyes the color of key lime pie with very short little legs. But she is flying around the house.

They are both gonna be fine. Last night I almost called out "hey Cattbutt" but I stopped myself.

It feels good to have some critters under foot.

Jon

6. Congratulations!
They'll remind you of Sebastian Cattbutt frequently, Demman. Let it be part of the healing for you. They will fill your heart.

But here I am preaching to the choir.

How old are they? We had a white kitten -- pure white when he was born. As he grew, markings started coming out . . . now he has the body of a hefty alley cat but the coat and markings of a stunning sealpoint Siamese.

What does Mo look like?

23. That's wonderful. You saved their lives.
Because you know that once they get to the pound, there's very little chance they will find new homes.

Welcome them to the DU Kitty Crew!

You need one more though, call him Leary :)

Then you could have Leary, Carly and Mo :) (or do I just have a twisted sense of humor?)

Quinn says get some pics!!!!

22. That's a great new photo of Quinn!
and I'm looking forward to seeing pics of Carly and Mo, too ;-)

I got two new ones just last year as well, though the Maine Coon hardly looks like a kitten anymore (he still is one, though!)

Here's Oberon and Puck:

Congrats on the new additions to your family!

28. Thanks Jen, I love that last photo of Oberon :)
I can actually tell the two apart regardless of age (Puck has the pink nose, Oberon the black) :) So even though I've never seen 'em, I can tell 'em apart regardless of photo quality :)

14. New Kittens: O Boy!
You might try setting a small paper plate with a kitty treat
within a foot or so of that cat, saying "Hi there, it sure is good to see you!" and walking away - every half hour or so when
convenient (unless the cat is zonked out, of course). In my work with 'wild' (not feral) cats this is one of many methods I use to prove to the cat that I am a trusted, concerned, consistent friend.
As the tree is bent, so shall it grow.

Every home should have at least a couple of cats. You get major points for giving adult cats a good home!

let the healing process begin!

Mo will come around.
when we first got the Spooky he wouldn't come out either....
after the first week he was running the joint... still is!
Montana loves everyone.... we got him off the street though.... full grown.

25. I know just how you feel
When we got the boys, Cosmo hid under the sofa bed (or where ever he could hide). Ricco was a bit more interested as to what was going on. Both of them ate and pooped like crazy.

One thing we did was bring the food out when we were in the room and they were happy.

Also, I had to stop myself and not call Ricco "Mickey".

Welcome to the joys of kittenhood again!

PICTURES!!!! We want pictures!
