1. Yep.
And bad health is definitely a big factor in my situation.

4. Thank you. :) It's been an ongoing thing since 2001
but we still hope that we'll figure it all out one of these days. Having lot's of surgery complications isnt't fun. You can definitely quote me on that. :)

3. Not if I was a Sumo wrestler.
(But I'm not.)

Speaking of Sumo, tournament results:

http://sumo.goo.ne.jp/eng/hon_basho/index.html

Special Prizes:

Shukun-sho (Outstanding Performance Award):
East Sekiwake Kotoshogiku 3rd (12-3)
West Sekiwake Kisenosato 5th (12-3)

Kanto-sho (Fighting Spirit Prize):
West Maegashira #11 Gagamaru 1st (11-4)

Gino-sho (Technique Prize):
East Sekiwake Kotoshogiku 4th (12-3)

Kisenosato's armlock throw of Hakuho (which, imo, demonstrated good technique): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fvqFJcbPFBA

And the next day, Kotoshogiku's frontal force out of same: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KvIC5wqU5Xk

For those unfamiliar with Sumo, (yokozuna) Hakuho has an excellent record in recent years, and has looked almost unbeatable at times.

5. I don't think so
At 6' 3", 200 lbs, I don't think I'm overweight. With weight training, I don't think I'm overweight.

6. I am the optimal weight for my size...
on Venus or Uranus.

On Earth, not so much.

7. It's historical fact that when Casanova could no longer be a wolf
in the bedroom, he became a wolf at the table.

I imagine that's my problem with food.

8. Been losing for about 6 months
I've gone from 'moderately' to 'slightly.' Gained a couple back over the last few weeks but I'm back on track . . . not counting the pizza sub I just ate.

9. I'm not too fat. I'm just too short for my weight.
But I'm in shape; round is a shape.

10. I grew up fat and know what it's like to be ridiculed and disliked just from my appearance ...
I'm not anymore.

And yes, it makes me a hypocrite of the worst kind to laugh at, or make, a fat joke. But dammit, sometimes you gotta laugh and as Steve Martin said "Comedy is not pretty".

11. I just had a thought.
What if all of America's overweight people got behind the Christie candidacy. I mean because he was being persecuted for being overweight. .

12. Not overweight, but under tall
Hey Norm what're up to?

13. I weighed 125 lbs when I got married
and I now weigh 230 25 years later. 50 of that has come in the last 7 years since I quit smoking. It didn't take 7 years to grab that extra 50 - I ballooned up from 180 to 230 in the first year but I have somehow managed to not get worse.

But I feel like a pig most of the time and am mad at myself for not doing anything about it.

At times like this, when I am forced to think about it honestly, I know I am overweight and need to get it together but as soon as I leave this thread and start thinking about other things my mental self-image will dwindle back down to that 125 pound guy with all his hair and I will forget all about this extra person riding in me. It happens every time.

I found out I like greek yogurt so I've been eating that. Problem is I eat it for dessert, not as replacement for a meal. :/

On the other hand, I'm working on a wicked cool Santa Claus beard and mustache and hair so when it all turns white I'll have that!

14. I don't think technically I'm overweight, but I'd like to get rid of 10 lbs. of vanity weight
I think I'd look a bit better in clothes and photos.

15. Ugh I have gone from pleasantly plump to morbidly obese
I HATE that phrase!

I am not saying its not true, but they don't throw the "morbid" part in any other diagnosis.

However, I have been working out slowly - walking, swimming and have managed to shed about 21 pounds. Barely a butt cheek worth, but I like the scale going down.

Christie is morbidly stupid - that should be the bigger concern

16. Seriously overweight, but have been losing steadily since July. I have to say I find it much easier

than I thought I would.

Also, I am very tall and carry extra weight easily and almost "invisibly". When I would tell people how much I weighed, they were shocked, and would have guessed at least 40 pounds less.
