1. I have a Goalzero Nomad, which is just a solar charger
http://www.goalzero.com/shop/p/11/Nomad%207%20Solar%20Panel/
It works very well, but is expensive. I bought it because it had great reviews. I use it to charge my ipad and iphone when I'm camping. You need close to full sunlight. With overcast or broken clouds, it won't work.

I've heard there's a lot of solar chargers out there that just don't work very well, if at all so just be sure you check the reviews on whatever you decide to buy.

3. It has a USB port
You get up to 5 watts out of the USB outlet. It also has a 12v port and an included adapter for a cigar lighter socket like every car has. You get up to 4 watts on the 12v outlet.

5. I have a few different devices like that, backpack, briefcase, etc...
Ask me anything...

:P

Basically, a small solar panel produces a flow of direct current that can range in power from less than an AAA battery to several, or to a 9-volt battery, all voltages are possible.

Most personal electronic devices can be operated or charged with a low voltage DC (direct current) voltage, like 4.5 volts.

The items I own have adapters to work with different phones or iPhone or iPad, so you can hook up different things.

:hi:
