I'd seriously kill to be home and have Ying at the door with my egg rolls, dumplings, Kung pao chicken, chicken on a stick....

2. Too old to fall for your "I've got a puppy in the garage, wanna see?" ploy
But not old enough to keep you out of prison.

After several hours of drinking,......(and several reverse keystrokes correcting this post....)

I'll have to vote for......

Staying in bed and not answering the door...

but that isn't a choice, is it?

Why, OH WHY, DAMMIT, can't the cookie seller be really truly interested in me (and be of age, for crying out loud) and look like this?

OK, OK..I'm a dirty old man.

Edited because "is is?" makes no sense....and yeah, I'm just a dirty old man.

5. The USPS Letter Carrier leaves your porn in the box at the street or downstairs
When the package is too big to fit in your box (hehe) it becomes one of the above given options.

7. Believe it or not, I kinda look forward to salesmen and religious freaks these days
There's a city ordinance that makes it a crime to knock on someone's door if they have a no soliciting sign. It even applies to the religious nuts. This deters most of them, but occassionally some of the cockroaches slip through the cracks.

After they ring the bell I hand them a copy of the ordinance and tell them the cops are on the way. Then I sit back and watch them run. I figure it's only fair to give them a sporting head start.

Edited on Sun Sep-25-11 05:37 PM by bigwillq
Because I love Halloween.

I don't order take-out food at home, don't buy from Amazon or other on-line sites, and I don't buy Girl Scout Cookies.

Halloween rocks! :bounce:

11. Gotta go with the Fed Ex guy because...
we buy a lot online, being out here in the sticks, nearest decent stores 90 miles away,

and

UPS/Fed Ex delivery guys have some magical way of making it down the long narrow driveway,
to the front door, past the ever vigilant and loud watch dog, putting the package in the chair on the porch, and I never ever once hear that dog bark.
Or hear their truck.
Have no idea how they do it, the damn dog barks at every leaf that falls from the trees, but somehow never seems to hear the Fed ex guy.
Even when the dog is dozing outside, on his 20 foot lead, under my car by the front porch.

Tis a mystery.

packages, and he's a Teamster. :loveya:

The FedEx guy creeps me out -- he's a rotating stable of one-off scabs who slaps a magnetic "FedEx" label on his vehicle. Never says a word, and leaves packages in the rain.

The USPS guy pisses me off -- he's a part-time contract employee who has a teabagger sticker on his imported piece of crap. :eyes:
