Android Phone Fans- need help!

I am getting a new phone this weekend and TMobile told me I have 4 choices. Can you all help me pick? I've never owned a "smart" phone or touchscreen before.

1. Gravity- sounds good, but it has a separate keyboard (slider) which I'm not sure I'd like.
2. Wildfire- basic, good phone.
3. Galaxy- apparently the screen on this phone is too die for, but it comes preloaded with a bunch of crap that you can't remove and the battery stinks.
4. Comet- seems like it would be right up my alley. easy to use, but the screen is kind of small.

I'd love to hear of any experiences y'all have with these phones and for any advice!

Oh, and I'll only using the phone for calls, texting and surfing the web. No games, video, etc...
