They that have done this deed are honorable.
They are wise and honorable and will no doubt with reasons answer you.

Wherein has Caesar thus deserved your love? Alas, you know not. To every Roman citizen he gives ..

... 75 drachmas

2. Caesar used Greek coinage?
One would think he used Aureus or Denarius coins.

4. Consider the part of the gospels with a question to Jesus about paying taxes.
Edited on Tue Sep-20-11 11:13 AM by Boojatta
Jesus asks, "Whose image is on this coin?"

When he receives an answer, he says, "Then render unto Socrates that which belongs to Socrates." Of course, Socrates was Greek.

The Romans absorbed a lot of stuff from Greece, such as Greek philosophy and Greek geometry. Why not also Greek coins engraved with an image of a famous Greek philosopher's face?

6. My Dear CaliforniaPeggy, you're welcome because ...
you are an honorable woman. See what I did there?
This thread is one of the few places where
"honorable" sounds like an insult.
Of course, it isn't truly an insult, but if it offends
you then I withdraw the label "honorable."
I withdraw it because I am an honorable computer.

I am not even one little bit offended!

8. "I have done this thing because it is just. Blood demands blood.
We have lived and lost at the whims of our masters for too long. I would not have it so. I would not see the passing of a brother, for the purpose of sport. I would not see another heart ripped from a chest, or breath forfeit for no cause. I know not all of you wish this, yet it is done. It is done. Your lives are your own. Forge your own path, or join with us, and together we shall see Rome tremble."
