1. I feel sorry for those who make the lists

and get called assholes by people who either do not or will not understand how things work.

They have an exact amount of time in which to do those lists. They are quite aware they are leaving people off the lists. There is nothing that can be done about it.

I read once where the man responsible for the Oscar list spends the month following the broadcasts apologizing to everyone who calls.

A truly thankless job.

2. They had plenty of time to include him...he died in May.

They screwed up, I don't care how hard the job is, this was a major screw-up and I wasn't even a big fan of Taxi.

And you're totally wrong..did you just make up that information? It's done by committee, and not one person gets the final say, it's a group effort. Nice try.
