OK...this is kinda funny. "Hello Furious"
last night I put up this post in GD;

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=439&topic_id=1958820&mesg_id=1958820

I had made the mistake of clicking the "Upgrade Now" link on my Yahoo Email, because, alas, it seemed inevitable I would be upgraded whether I like it or not. I take pics with my cell phone and email them to my yahoo account.

With the old version it was a simple task of downloading those pics to my desktop because a "download file" hyperlink appeared right next to a thumbnail of the pic. With the new version of Yahoo mail, when I click on the email, the pic opened full page and no such link is apparent.

So....I was frustrated as hell and put up the above thread, AFTER sending an email to Yahoo complaining and asking for an answer.

Here's their (apparently) automated response, cut and pasted;

Hello Furious,

Thank you for writing to Yahoo! Mobile.

I understand you are unable to download photos in your Yahoo! Mobile
account. I apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you and let
me address this for you.

To start, access the Yahoo! Mobile page at:

http://m.yahoo.com/

and choose "Mail" from the "All Sites" tab. Alternatively, you can
access the URL directly at:

http://m.yahoo.com/mail

To download or view an image attachment:

1. Open the message that contains the attachment.

2. Scroll down to the bottom of the message. Under the "Attachments"
section, you should see the name of the attachment. Click the name.

3. To download the attachment to your device, click "Download." To view
it without downloading, click "View."

4. Follow the download prompts on your device. If you have trouble with
this step, please contact your carrier. They should be able to help.

If you have completed all the steps above and still are having trouble
downloading or viewing an attachment, you will need to use a desktop
computer (Mac or PC) to view or download an attachment.

Further, to help us get a better understanding of the issue, please
reply with the following details:

1. Please describe all of the actions you took that lead up to the
issue, and describe what you have wished to accomplish.

2. If you're seeing an error message, please include the exact text of
the error message. It's important that you include the entire error
message so that we can better assist you.

3. Describe how often the issue occurs and provide any other relevant
information.

4. Please provide us with the URL (Web address) of the page on which
you're experiencing the errors.

Once your response is received, we'll be happy to look into the issue.
We look forward to hearing from you soon.

Thank you again for contacting Yahoo! Mail.

Regards,

Marcus

1. Describe what you're trying do and steps taken so far:
----------------------------------------------------------
Why would you change a perfectly fine system? WHERE IS THE
"DOWNLOAD PHOTO" FEATURE FOR PHOTOGRAPHS I HAVE SENT TO MYSELF
FROM MY CELL PHONE?

This is extremely frustrating. Just give me the option of keeping the
old style email system. The new one SUCKS!

2. What best describes why the Help Pages failed to resolve your issue:
------------------------------------------------------------------------
: I couldnâ¬"t find a relevant help page.

3. How may we contact you?

Name: FURIOUS USER!

Of course their response doesn't help me AT ALL!!

The "Hello Furious" just tickled me.

1. Why so Furious?
Seriously, that's pretty funny. In a really frustrating way. I'm not making the transition lightly. My Yahell hasn't uploaded in years. I hate them.

2. Why so furious? lol....
Just because it used to be SO FUCKING EASY to download a photo I sent to myself.

Now, with their (and it is always, isn't it? "New and Improved" version, I can't do it nearly as easy as it was.

What used to take me say..ten minutes to download and sort 10 photos took all fucking evening.
