I love how nothing seems to happen until it does and then it's massive.

When AMC was running the "encore" sessions this summer, beginning with Season 1, I got a bunch of my friends hooked on it. Now we all discuss the new episodes after they show on Sunday nights. It's an absolutely fantastic series -- with genius writers. (We're always saying "WHo thinks this stuff up?!?!?!" Nothing short of brilliant.

because of the shocking SUDDEN brutality -- "The Shield".
(who can forget the end of the very first episode of "The
Shield"? It had me thinking WHOA!!! all week long.)

6. My favorite show on tv by far. Tied with The Wire for top two ever. The character development

is brilliant, and the pacing and evolution of the plot are extraordinary.
