Look what they had up at The Thing? today!

had a package delivered up there by mistake (thanks UPS) and had to go pick it up. they had these sitting on the counter, I just had to have a box!

7. That was surreal
I immediately recognized them as something familiar, something I knew from childhood and it took a moment to identify them as mexican jumping beans, but as soon as that thought came to mind, I thought: no, no, I haven't seen those since I was ten or so, why would I think that? Weird.

9. When we were kids, my siblings and I were pretty good at keeping them alive.
When the moths came out we'd let them free...

... in Southern California, which might well have been Mars from the moth's perspective.
