I'm not sure how they made the list, though.

10. I figured it was Virginia
... even though my browser refused cnbc's ugly code at first.

Suburb of: RichmondMetro area unemployment rate: 6.8% Median house value: $269,752 Safer from crime than this percent of all U.S. communities: 49% Midlothian, the 13th-largest community in Virginia, has the most workers in office and administrative support, sales, and management. It has better public schools than 63% of all U.S. communities, and its public schools are better than 81% of schools in the rest of the state. A minority of Midlothian’s populace holds a four-year degree (39.7%), yet a majority are homeowners (82%). Further analysis of the suburb is provided on its Neighborhood Scout profile.

In addition, Midlothian is home to many people who could be described as "urban sophisticates". Urban sophisticates are people who are both educated and wealthy, and thus tend to be older, richer, and more established than young professionals. "Urban sophisticates" is not just about being educated and well-off financially: it is a point of view and state of mind, one that you might call 'urbaneness'. But such people can and do regularly live in small towns, suburbs and rural areas, as well as in big cities. They read, support the arts and high-end shops, and love travel.

Eric Cantor's district. (cnbc doing a little ass kissing perhaps?)

It's a very nice town about an hour and forty-five minutes from here.

13. I'm sure that's true.
The problem is that affluent mostly white suburban America is getting disconnected from the rest of the nation. For every place like these "perfect suburbs" there are a couple of places where everyone is playing a grim game of musical chairs as jobs disappear, especially the kinds of jobs that have good health plans and pay enough to buy a home.

I can take my dog for a walk and pass half a dozen empty homes that have been abandoned to the banks, whichever direction I go.

22. Which ones are good?
I had to bring the white wine to make sangria blanca for a large group. I looked at the boxed wine as it would have been perfect, size and price wise, but there are so many. The only one I had tried was Badger Mountain, at a little get together and I thought it was undrinkable.

Maybe you know this, but Bunco, boxed wine and minivans were a big joke here in the lounge and that Midlo person laughed the hardest when she was teased about them.

Very few of them are longbeards; not since Microsoft and Oracle conquered their kingdom.
