can't sleep, so I got up and made some hot green tea...morning ramblings

when I woke up about 4:30, I could hear the cats messing with something in the living room.
I tried to go back to sleep, but once awake, the cats knew I was awake and you can forget about
going back to sleep, according to them.
I'm not sure if the cats woke me up or my kidneys aching -- or both.
Got up to take the dogs out to the back yard. It was noticeably cooler at 68 degrees.

Not sure why the cats are up early this morning, maybe it's the "cold front" coming through.
Might actually get some rain today. (cross fingers for Fort Worth)
I just checked the weather forecast for today -- high of 82??? YEA! We had 107 Tuesday and 100 yesterday.

Back in bed with the hot green tea and a muscle relaxer to keep my back from spasming.
(my GP who is an osteopath, told me that when the kidneys are sick sometimes it makes the back spasm and the pain worse.
I wasn't sure if I believed that, but I found it really helps. The kidneys still ache and hurt, but at least I can walk around
without being a cripple. I was surprised how much that helps.)

Less kidney pain yesterday and this morning. Still pretty uncomfortable, but not like it has been.
I think the Bactrim DS is working.

I'm supposed to go out of town next weekend for a church thing and take a plane.
(crossing fingers that I will feel well enough to go and -- DH doesn't freak and give me a hard time about it)
My doctor told me if I didn't feel up to it, he would write me a note on letterhead that I can't travel
so I can get a refund from the airline.

Cats have all gone back to sleep -- 3 alpha females, it gets interesting sometimes ;)
The one that usually ignores me wanted some ear scritches when I got back in bed with my tea.
And now she's sleeping on the bed. Must be opposite cat day?

So I think it's time for another cup of tea.
