A beautiful quote that I saw on Facebook...
When you remember me, it means you have carried something of who I am with you, that I have left some mark of who I am on who you are. It means that you can summon me back to your mind even though countless years and miles away may stand between us. It means that if we meet again, you will know me. It means that after I die, you can still see my face and hear my voice and speak to me in your heart. For as long as you remember me, I am never entirely lost. When I’m feeling most ghost-like, it is your remembering that helps remind me that I actually exist.....

1. thinking about that
My mom and a couple of friends died during the past two years, and as I ponder your quote and think about them, sunlight and gentle breeze make shadows of leaves and shifting patterns of light on the window shade and create a peaceful feeling.

3. My dear marzipanni...
I am sorry for your losses...

It's tough to lose so many dear folk even over 2 years...

Your answer is so poetic, sweetie!

Thank you...

9. My dear CaliforniaPeggy!
.
.
.
Thank you for this. It is how I feel... though expressed with
much more eloquence.
.
.
.
I feel, and always suggest to those suffering from a loss,
that my loved ones are not truly gone -- that they DO live
on within my heart and within my memory. I sometimes "talk
to them" -- though they don't "answer" -- but knowing who
and what they were/are can help me find answers I'm having
problems with "by myself".
.
.
.
I always think there's some out there who think I'm being shallow
with my advice/philosophy... but it's truly felt and sincerely given.

10. My dear MiddleFingerMom...
Somehow, I am not surprised that this touched you too...

You have a big, tender heart (metaphorically, of course!) and this quote fits.

Thank you...

11. Lovely quote....
Reading this reminded me of my father whom I lost as a kid.
One day, we'll "meet again."

Thanks for posting, I'm going to pass this along to family and friends.

13. Oh, my dear OhioChick...
Oh sweetie...I am so very sorry...

I'm glad you saw this, but I'm really sorry it reminded you of your father. He went way, way too soon...

I'm sure he would be proud of the woman you've grown up to be...

You know, I dreamed about DU3, where one of the new features was a "like" button!

Facebook was where I found this...

Glad you "liked"!

16. From the '70s (oh, it's '69)
I do my thing and you do your thing.
I am not in this world to live up to your expectations,
And you are not in this world to live up to mine.
You are you, and I am I,
and if by chance we find each other, it's beautiful.
If not, it can't be helped.

(Fritz Perls, "Gestalt Therapy Verbatim", 1969)
