Just finished an interesting book by Salgari called "The Pirates of the Sahara." The Kong mountain range comes up from time to time in the book. I have a suspicion they might have influenced a certain large monkey in the South Pacific, can't be sure.

One of the more important entirely fictitious mountain ranges, right up there with Atlantis.

Salgari is also an interesting guy. More or less invented the spaghetti western. Poor bastard. Typical of the authors I like. Blew his brains out.

3. Isn't Kinshasa the capitol of Zaire? Did they change Zaire's name?

"Ebola Zaire" sounds cool. "Ebola Democratic Repblic of Congo", not as much.
