TV pilots (show, not aviators) that were as good as most summer movies?
io9 has http://io9.com/5839375/tv-pilots-that-are-as-good-as-most-summer-movies">a list including: Lost, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Fringe, Virtuality, Global Frequency, Firefly, Battlestar Galactica, Chuck, The Walking Dead, Odyssey Five, Dollhouse, Twin Peaks, Dark Angel and Alias.

Comments, suggestions? I've only seen four of these.

2. Good one
That one I saw, though I didn't watch much of the series.

The pilot for Six Feet Under was quite good.

3. 100 Centre Street
The pilot was two hours (90 minutes without commercials) and I remember it being quite good. The director was Sidney Lumet, after all and it starred Alan Arkin as a progressive judge.

4. My Name is Earl
By the way, the pilot for Alias was pretty lame.
