Anyone here ever heard of (or done business with) iMingle Insurance Company?

I was doing the insurance comparison thing over the weekend and most are pretty similar to what I already have. A couple were a bit higher but nothing so much less expensive that I was considering switching, until I checked iMingle. The quote I received from them was roughly half the price of what I am paying now.

Is this a legitimate company? I have never heard of it. I don't want to give out information online to some company I have never heard of before.

1. It looks like they are a division of Kemper
which is a very large and old insurance group. My father's wife worked for Kemper for over twenty years. A- AM Best rating, which is very good.

2. I found that too
After I posted (doh)

It still seems strange that a company I have never heard of can offer the similar coverage for roughly half the cost.

I sent an email asking for a local office or agent. If I can deal with someone in person I would be more comfortable than just sending info out onto the cloud.

3. I'd be extremely suspicious. Check A.M. Best at the library

4. I decided to call a 1-800 number for Kemper

and was given another number to call, and then a third number to call... and the Kemper agent at that number assured me that iMingle is a reputable insurance company and is part of their sister company (I didn't really understand that part but wasn't listening closely by then).

So I already switched and my payments went from ~$134.00 to $67.00.

I would need to compare policies side by side to see if I have lower coverage in the new policy but I kinda doubt it, I picked reasonable numbers.

I still don't understand why I am paying for uninsured/under-insured motorists in a no-fault state, but I am.

P.S. there is an additional 10% discount if I get someone else to switch, so if you do please PM me (we both get that additional 10% off).

5. If you can get with a "standard company", I would do that instead even if it is more$

Generally, when you're young and just starting out or if you have a lot of tickets, you'll end up with a company nobody's ever heard of. My advice would be to try to get a policy with a standard company, preferably a mutual company.
