6. That's a classic picture, just a notch below the "morans" pic
The rattail mullet on the guy in the white shirt in the center tops it off perfectly.

7. Reminds me of the demonstration I attended in Hartford on 3/22/03.
Edited on Mon Apr-05-04 12:12 PM by NightTrain
Something like 1,300 people converged on the steps of the state capital on that cold, blustery Sunday to speak out against the war. Meanwhile, there were seven (mind you, that's seven!) pro-war types demonstrating, as well. And guess which group received more coverage on that night's TV "news?" Goddamned liberal mdeia!

11. Had the same thing here in Raleigh.
Though I thihnk the pro-war crowd was closer to 20 - 30 people.

17. Hey...
Those damned Traveling Charmin toilets are nicer and way cleaner than the bathrooms here at the dorms. I'm thinking the only thing wrong with an outhouse at this point is the fact that we'd have to go outside. I'm not taking up for the freepers, but shit, we've gotta have a little perspective here.

12. Then there were the Clear Channel gatherings.
Let's not underestimate the rightists. But it is true that they can be rather pathetic in terms of mobilization. They use talk radio successfully sometimes. Hopefully we can mimic that in the future when necessary.

15. their natl one bombed
clearcannel and glenn beck decided to have it in wv to maiamize exploitation of jessica lynch. beck boasted that he's bring 300,000 to wv and have overflow crowds in the streets.

he got barely 10,000 (about 1/3 capacity of the stadium) and the lots remained empty with 7 large jumbotrons that they never needed to turn on staring blankly at us as we laughed our asses off

13. I wish I had a screen capture of the
Clinton Impeachment Rally that was on C-Span in 1998....

The dozen or so speakers outnumbred the freepers...and at one point the cameras showed the counter-demonstration...which had to be about 5,000 people.
