3. Since he graduated from WVU Law School he's been working for the AFL/CIO.
But now he gets a raise in pay and grade.

13. Thank you pacalo!
Not bad for a country boy who grew up in the southern West Virginia coalfields.

4. He's currently involved in labor law, working for the AFL/CIO.
He enjoys the work and I think he's going to stay with them at least for now.

14. The AFL/CIO hired him straight out of law school.

He's gonna stick with them. He's getting a big promotion now, on account of having passed the bar exam.

16. Congrats!
The bar exam is one of the most miserable things one can voluntarily choose to subject oneself to. After I finished it 23 years ago (on a total of 4 hours sleep the nights before) I got so hammered that it took me two hours to find my glasses when I woke up the next afternoon.

19. That must have hurt coming out!
I've heard it's worse than passing a kidney stone.

:D

JK. That's a heck of an accomplishment. The amount of studying people put into passing that is impressive.

Edited on Fri Sep-09-11 02:37 PM by hifiguy
hitting yourself in the head with a ball-peen hammer, it feels so good when they tell you to stop. Figure on 8-10 hours per day (including attendance at bar review courses) for two straight months, seven days a week. Ugh. It's the only thing I can remember that made the first semester of law school seem like anything less than sheer hell.
