What Wimps Doctors are..... This is no reason to stop a Soccer game

Snake Bite in Soccer Field

A friendly soccer match between doctors from the San Carlos Hospital, in northern Costa Rica, and a team of pharmacists was abruptly interrupted 10 minutes into the game when gynecologist Fulgencio Ordonez was bitten by a fer-de-lance, a venomous tropical American pit viper.

The game had started at 8 p.m. and the attack took place in the middle of the field.
The unprecedented event resulted only in minor injuries for Dr. Ordonez, whose soccer gear prevented the snake's fangs from penetrating deep.

The director of the San Carlos Hospital reported that, even though the fer-de-lance is one of the most venomous snakes in Costa Rica, only one fang actually hurt the gynecologist, therefore his recovery was fast, and he was released from the hospital some 16 hours after the treatment began.

3. not true
There is exactly one good reason to stop a soccer match: the final whistle after 90 minutes.

6. If it was a hockey game...
...the doctor that got bitten would have sucked the venom out of the wound himself and stitched himself. He would have returned for his next shift on the ice.
