1. loved it, but haven't seen it in years
I've been meaning to watch it again. John Sayles's films are almost always worth an extra viewing or two :)

2. LOVED that movie!

I love John Sayles' films and have seen most of them, but I would say that Lone Star is absolutely his best.

Edited to add: There was something mindblowing in the movie, and I remember figuring it out just before it came to light. I was saying, "whoa!"

5. Great flick!
I even bought the movie poster from the local DVD rental place. It's the only movie poster I've ever owned.

I live in a town that is over 50% Latino (though not in Texas); some of the various attitudes of the townspeople were somewhat familiar.

Sayles does a very good job evoking a sense of place as well as character in this film - you feel like you know everybody. And Kris Kristofferson is terrific!

7. Overlooked and underrated.
I haven't thought about that movie in years, but yeah, it's a good one.
