Drunken Elk Rescued From Swede's Apple Tree
So this elk got drunk from eating fermented apples and got stuck in a tree...

5. I'm glad the elk is all right.
That picture of the poor thing passed out looked very bad. Apparently it recovered. It may still be nearby, but it has recovered.

What they call an elk in Europe is what we call a moose, but it's the same critter, Alces alces.

Evidently they called Cervus canadensis "elk" cuz they thought it looked like a moose. :shrug:
