Bands you liked more than the more famous bands they morphed into
I really liked Mark Sandman and Billy Conway's pre-Morphine band Treat Her Right.

I'm kind of indifferent about Morphine.

Julian Casablancas is the lead singer for The Strokes. I like a few of their songs, but nothing nearly as well as I like from Casablancas' solo album that came out a year or two ago. Here's "Tourist."

I just always assumed they would be generic while wearing blues hats, playing Litigator custom guitars and BluesLawyer hand-wired tube amps. And a harp player who never knows enough is enough

When he left, and was replaced by Paul Kutler, they morphed into a different band (still named The Dream Syndicate, though)
