I'm a political junkie, and I usually stay as up-to-date as is possible with the news. But I've been in summer camp in Oregon with no internet access for a month now (apart from a few days in the middle), and I'm really behind. It's a crappy situation.

Say anything important that happened this month. If you can only think of one or two things, then just post that.

9. It was another day, another dollar kind of month.

1.)The President swore he was resolute about things, then caved in the face of minimal GOP resistance despite massive public support for his position. (Once on emissions standards and once again on the timing and date of a "jobs and recovery" speech.)

2.) Republicans said offensive things. (Eric Cantor declared he'd do everything in his power to block disaster-relief funds following the hurricane and earthquake unless they were offset in the budget by social program cuts. Most of his own party chose nice words to tell him to "fuck off".)

I think that's the two-point highlight.
