Tabasco
I have probably traveled to 6 or 7 countries, nearly 50 states and every where we went, there was a bottle of Tabasco in a restaurant. From Inverness Scotland to PaoPao Tahiti. From Barcelona to Tokyo Japan. Has there ever been a more popular product in the world? Making bland food taste spicier!

And its Made in the USA. My guess is.. Some day, when some alien scientist digs up the ruins of this planet, they will find a bottle of Tabasco.. then watch out! Humans will be raised to become an extra ordinary species with exquisite taste!

9. Actually, there's one place you won't find it
Louisiana.

Seriesly. Locals prefer any number of similar hot sauces. One that is fairly widely available nationally is Crystal, which was made about a mile up the street from my old place pre-Katrina (they rebuilt in a town upriver).

There was a place down the street from me called Streetcar Sandwiches. They had at least a dozen different bottles of ho sauce out there, including some imports. But no Tabasco.

14. The sad thing is, Streetcar Sandwiches was several miles from Bourbon St.
That's where you'd expect to find ho sauce.
