Scissor Sisters or The Darkness?
My 16yr old says neither are any good but wants tickets to see them play sometime soon. Either of them worth the airfare???

2. Apparently...
...they are considering naming streets after them in Lowestoft, where they come from. :eyes:

The Darkness are OK as long as you do not under any circumstances take them seriously. I'd rather listen the original 80's hair rock bands if I'm going to listen to that sort of stuff though personally.

If you only know him through "The Lady In Red", then you don't really know his music.

That is, if Al Hedges were appealing to millions of old women worldwide.

11. I'd cut off my own head and use it as a football
disembowel myself, eat my own innards (after restitching my head back on without anaesthetic), crawl through six thousand miles of razor wire, stab hot needles into my eyes repeatedly, discuss modernist philosophy with Jessica Simpson and appear on Days of Our Lives in a recurring bit-part as Victor's long lost evil son before seeing The Darkness.

13. I'd skin myself and wrap my flesh around the front left tire of a NY Taxi
while boiling the meat off my fingers in a pot of seawater, all the while beating my bloody forehead against the oven fan, being careful to catch whatever brain matter falls out of my recently dremel-tooled skull and sautee it amoung torn pieces of Ann Coulter's latest book, all the while dancing a little Irish jig with my feet in a kiln turned on its side, before seeing 'The Darkness'.

34. sheesh that sounds like a lot... of pain
Although I particularly like to contemplate the modernist philosophy discussion with Jessica.

Well, I think they look like silly fun. At least the videos do. Not that I would see them. Reminds me of the Zeppelin days with a dash of Spinal Tap. It's all Morrisey's fault, you know.

38. there you go
good "rationalization." Actually I remember that Berkeley was the only one who made sense and appeared to have a sense of humor.?! I was doubting many things in those days, primarily my ability to pass the course. Can't remember if I just bailed or got a C. Shudder. Much preferred the Existentialism course.

Yes, I never quite liked him. I was more of a Hume man, myself. And dollars to donuts says that Hume could drink Berkeley under the table.
