Anyone know how the wild horses of Rodanthe fared during Irene?
The ones that Diane Lane frolicked with in Nights in Rodanthe?

I can't find anything about them on Google.

1. Are those the Chincoteague ponies? They are safe
CHINCOTEAGUE, Va. — The Chincoteague ponies are safe after Hurricane Irene tore past their island.

Chincoteague Volunteer Fire Company spokeswoman Denise Bowden said Sunday that the herd of wild horses owned by the fire company since the 1920s made it through the storm without any nicks or scratches.

3. Evidently, there aren't any horses in Rodanthe.
(Goofs) Nights in Rodanthe (2008) IMDb

* Errors in geography: The wild horses do not exist where the movie takes place. They are actually about 60 miles north near Corolla. They would have to swim across a wide inlet to get to Rodanthe from Corolla. Another herd of these wild horses is on Ocracoke Island, about 35 miles south, but are penned in for their protection. Another herd of these wild horses are located on the Cape Lookout National Seashore, and freely roam between Cape Lookout, Shackleford Banks, and Carrot Island, near Beaufort, NC

5. They made those poor horses swim from Corolla to Rodanthe?
What heartless bastards.

4. There are no wild horse on Chincoteague. Only wild ponies.
I suppose you think Bugs Bunny is a rabbit.

8. Bugs Bunny is a fucking cartoon
There is nothing in Nights in Rodanthe to indicate that it isn't an accurate portrayal of what happened.

10. I don't know about the wild horses, but the guy who built the house
featured in the movie had his house--across the street--burn down.

Read about their nightmare abandoning the burning house in the middle of
the hurricane here:
