1.  Because it is the middle of the work week, and it's all down hill from there!
Monday- Tuesday climb the hill

Wednesday- at the top of the hill

Thursday-Friday down hill to the Weekend!

Over the hump downhill the rest of the workweek

Oneshooter
Armed and Livin in Texas


And don't bet on the getting laid only on the weekend.

5. Hump day should be Friday, named after Freyja, goddess of love.
Most western European languages honor her (or Venus) in that fashion.
