Does anyone else get those sales phone calls, the ones with the ship horn sounding off and telling

you that you have won a trip? I get them all the time. I tried to hang up on this last one and it did not work. Three times I hung up. What gives? How could being insensitive to my hang up(s) ever garnet them any more business? I don't understand.

1. Only at work.

I signed myself up for the "do not call" registry years ago for the home number, and I get almost no telemarketing calls -- except for my bank, my insurance company, and the Democratic party. None of which are getting anything out of me these days.

2. When you get one where you can't get rid of them.

start hitting the # key on the phone repeatedly. That usually disconnects you.

God created Caller ID. I never answer my phone if I do not recognize the number.
