1. I used to serve food for a caterer in a posh neighbourhood. I got to see the insides of
all sorts of homes. The ugliest one had a bar that was on a carpet base of 4 inches or so. Press a button and the whole bar moves 4 feet in towards the livingroom (you could hear the motor) and a secret staircase appears in the opening behind. Really! What were the architects of the 1950s, 1960s thinking?
