HEARTFELT THANKS TO YOU ALL!!!!!!!!!!

It's Friday now.

I'm back at the house (Dallas, that is). My wife back in Germany is waiting for me to come home, and I
am anxious to see her too. It has been 3 weeks now, and that is enough, but I will stick around here
to gather some strength for the trip back.

I have already called ahead to my German cardiologist to arrange some rehab. I can't wait to get the
bill from the hospital (probably $40,000 with insurance kicking in for $298.35, the rest being my
deductible). But I will say this--the hospital in Dallas where I was was EXCELLENT, with caring staff
and great, conscientious doctors. It probably didn't hurt that when some of the nurses came in, that I
recognized their ethnic background immediately and spoke to them in Tagalog (they were Filipino). From
that point on, no wish went unanswered, not that I had many, other than getting the coffee at breakfast
switched for tea (no political implications, please, I just like tea better! LOL).

I already went into the office here in Dallas today, and typically, not everyone had been aware of what
happened to me, as I am usually the mysterious head of overseas operations, spoken of, but rarely seen.
Even so, some of the senior people who did know what had happened to me came up and hugged me, and we
are talking about hardened guys who have survived the nitty gritty for over 40 years. It's nice to know
you're appreciated, anyway.

It's time to get back on the proverbial bicycle--next week, that is!
