Are its leaves the curly/feathery ones? Another yellow-flowered plant is starting to bloom behind it.
I was trying to look up what it is, and found this- A Close-up View of the "Icelandic (Arctic) Poppy"- very interesting to see an Icelandic poppy closer, and closer.

I'm not actually sure which are the leaves that belong to the flower, lol...

My Icelandic friend says she thinks the flower is Ranunculus repens, and since she lives there, I suspect she's right...
