OK people I'm new here and I just donated because I like what I see.

I have been "stalking" here since around 2007 and never signed up because I thought I was a little too left leaning for most people and I tend to have a very caustic personality. (I try to be nice but don't fuck with me please.) I am not by nature a curmudgeon, but I'll proudly wear the label of bitch if you want to call me that for being an outspoken woman. I am a lifelong Democrat and God willing, I will die a Democrat. I believe in people and I believe in humanity, but at the same time I know that there are really fucked up forces to be recon' d with. I work in a jail and see that worst of humanity, but I treat each individual with the dignity any human deserve. Even the serial killer we had here in our jail I treated with the respect and dignity any human being deserves.

I'm a proud liberal, but my heart can only bleed so much until I become anemic. Some posters here have equated me with evil because I am a very strong female who is not averse to resorting to violence when it comes to survival. I have been equated with the most evil of human beings because of my strong stance on crime and have been called a right wing scum, or something to that effect. Hell, I ain't no saint but I'm not gonna turn the other cheek either: I am NOT a Christian. Goddess knows, I'll never measure up to Gandhi or King; I'm not that saintly. Kali-Ma the giver and taker of life is my favorite deity.

Anyway, I digress. The reason I am posting this is because I feel comfortable here. There are a myriad of opinions here and isn't that what the Democratic party is all about? Aren't we the big tent that doesn't have any purity tests like OTHER parties we know? Don't we protect the rights of the minorities and help the disenfranchised?

people in some of the other forums (cough GD cough) tend to get all wound up and start spouting stuff they learned in polisci 101 like its the gospel. a lot of times it wont mesh with your real world experiences so always go with yourself for advice.i welcome you here to skinners playground we need more players and fun
