2. Over the years, a surprising number of people HAVE suggested rat poison as something I should take
but I usually suspect they want to prescribe it to me for their health, not mine

This, however, is probably not that. I think the Doc just wants me to know he's not impressed that I've lost 70 pounds and gotten my BP back down into the normal range: no, he wants me to quit smoking, and stop eating a gallon and a half of ice cream at a sitting, and get off my duff to exercise at least once a year, and get my cholesterol down

I guess I could have said WTF, Doc! lower my cholesterol? Hey! my body needs that stuff to make all my sex hormones!

But what's the point? They never listen. Young whippersnappers! always figure they know more about medicine that I do

3. Squeeze the grapefruit and put juice in ice cube trays and freeze them.
Use a few to make cocktails. I like grapefruit juice with vodka and amaretto.

5. Of course, put the frozen cubes in freezer bags. I forgot to mention that.
I bet triple sec or cointreau would be tasty with the grapefruit juice, also.

6. I may just juice and freeze the juice in containers. I won't be able to use it for a while,
so I don't want it bulky: it'd be hiding in the back of the freezer for some time
