Ok, so I admit it, I'm jealous of the fun the Boston DUers had...around where I live, we had a nice Dean group, but since that ended, there has been no place to get the political talk out of me except for on here...

Now, I know Florida is big, but there are a ton of Floridians on here...would love to meet up and get together...

If you are interested, just mmessage on here, when we get to specifics, we can PM them to each other...

I'm in Northcentral Florida...so I can pretty much go anywhere...Orlando/Tampa would be best...but I'm ok for other options...

As for time, I teach high school, on spring break now, and got summer coming soon, which means that I'll have nothing to do...so I wouldn't mind organizing...

No sleep!! Although it gets easier each year (unless they change your grade level/subject area), it gets really good after about fifteen years, if you can keep up the creativity. I actually had time to watch part of a baseball game this weekend.

I have a good friend (a DU'er infact) that lives in Orlando. I'd have no problem making the trip there. We had a mini-meetup there last April where we had 4 people (none of whom have posted on this thread yet).

If it's West Palm Beach, that would be great as well. I could try and help organize the gathering.

...A meeting place in the center (or near center of the state) would
allow everybody to attend without have to drive a very long distance.
The Orlando region seems to be centrally located and would offer a large enough region to offer many clubs.

I vote for West Palm Beach! It's an hour from my house in Fort Pierce and I would not have to get a dogsitter for the weekend, which I would have to do if we had it in Orlando. Plus, I have a guest bedroom and guest bathroom that I would be willing to have someone come stay at if they needed a place.
