Spent the day with the spawn at Six Flags

My question - Six Flags, the name, refers to the six flags that have flown over Texas: Spain, France, Mexico, Republic of Texas, CSA, and USA.

But in California, it's only FIVE flags: Spain, Russia, Mexico, Republic of California and USA. Shouldn't Six Flags' California Holdings be called Five Flags?

Anyway, it was hot, miserable, crowded and smelly. Your humble narrator included in the latter.

Kids loved it though - made it worthwhile.

3. I never knew the history of the Six Flags story

but I sure as heck know what it's like to take the young-uns to those places. I've lost and found several of my boys in those theme-parks.

It's not only hot, miserable, crowded and smelly, it's purty durned expensive too.

And yes, the kids love every bit of it. Specially when they're lost. :hi:
