these events, by that I'm assuming you mean the debt ceiling talks, are not what anyone needs.
Do you mean that the failure will cause the two parties to compromise?
I just feel it is hurting what may have been left of respect for our government.

Seems to me, ever since the hanging chad. Democrats became apathetic that those we choose to represent us get torn to shreds. And once elected hands just went up and the response was, the Repunlicans control everything so whats the use?

If Obama can keep his gumption about him we just may win our place in the government back.
