5. are they playing lovely music?

that completely clashes with what you have playing on the stereo? arrgggg I hate the music - it always sounds like a wrecked 8 track tape and that is even on the rare occasions they play music I can atually stand.

If it is a really bad wait I put the phone on speaker and do something else, then fumble around when they finally answer because it never seems to go back to regular phone as easily as it went to speaker.

16. I'm terrible. I read the message board, compose replies and talk on the speaker at the same time.

The unfortunate person on phone doesn't know why I just go silent and say nothing for a few seconds. By then I forgot them. Rude. Multi-tasking is another way of being in more places than one is capable of being at a time. Doing several things at once, badly. But it feels so speedy and clever when one does it.
