I haven't talked to you in a while. Last time I did, D was headed toward some major surgery.

Things have been and are pretty rough right now. D has had 2 major surgeries. The last one was this past Monday the 20th. Recovery this time has been really difficult. He's a fighter though.

Congrats on your upcoming wedding date!!! It's not terribly far away now. You're living in Indiana if I remember correctly?

Tell D I said hi and that he's in my thoughts. I remember a lot of the things we used to talk about at that place you used to have. I had my disagreements with him back then, but I'm starting to see things more his way now days.

I wasn't aware you guys had disagreements about stuff. I always thought you got along so well when we had met up at the truckstops in Ohio for dinner and a visit. We've never moved from our home here in MI. D was still working on the reconstruction before he became ill.

He was more of an anti-establishment kind of guy and I was more of a let's give things a try kind of guy. He'll know what I'm talking about. We did get along well, we just had some differences politically speaking.
