True Blood Exclusive: Scott Foley Joins Cast as <<spoiler>>

True Blood‘s fourth season hasn’t even gotten underway yet and already Alan Ball is making plans for a likely fifth — big plans.

Sources confirm to TVLine exclusively that tube MVP Scott Foley is joining the cast in a major recurring role that will kick off in the Season 4 finale and, assuming the show gets renewed (duh, it will), continue into Season 5.

Any guess who Foley might be? My guess is that he'll be......

The fifth book has a new love that hasn't been seen in the earlier books. That's the were-tiger Quinn. I'm guessing if Foley is having a big part in season #5 they are making him Quinn. And although in the books we don't see Quinn until the 5th book, Alan Ball (creator of the TV show) tends to bring in a few tidbits the last episode of the season that sets off the next season.

That's one of the things I've always liked about True Blood. The major storylines always get wrapped up by the end of the season and the cliffhangers from the last episode of each season kicks off the next season. Season #1 we met Maryann (Maened storyline from season #2). Season #2 Bill was kidnapped (that started the Werewolves and the King of Mississippi storylines). Season #3 we found out Kevin was a witch, which will start the Witches storyline for season #4.

Squee! I am sooo excited. :) Glad to see from the sneak peeks that the Fairies aren't exactly what they appeared to be -- makes them much more interesting that the soft-focus, sunlite creatures we saw last season.
