4. I live in a mobile home. There aren't any baseboards,
only paneled walls floor to ceiling.

5. I clean them thoroughly a couple times a year.
And I vacuum them when I clean a room. They collect a lot of dust in the corners.

I have a dog and cat indoors, so the fur piles up.

I guess I am a regular old Martha Stewart.

6. Oh God!
I so need to do this!

I must plan a party so that I must get on my hands and knees and do it! Can't let the guests see all the dirt!

7. Don't need to! They are protected by...
a clever netting of dog hair!

Keeps out dust and trash!

11. I just got an ad from a cleaning company,
detailing all the stuff they will do on their first day.

There was stuff on there I never thought of before.

14. During the second week of December.
When having a party or before starting a new writing project, I do deep cleaning so I don't have to think about it 1)when guests are present and 2)while dirt piles up while I'm engrossed in storytelling. It's a bit OCD, but it works for me.

15. Well, I didn't do them, but a year ago in March.
I had some guys come in and paint the walls, and I guess they used the paint brushes to get rid of the crap on the baseboards, cause boy oh boy did they look nice.

No one will ever accuse me of being Suzy Homemaker. (Hey, that would have been a great DU name!)

17. HA
As a by-product of a snit-fit I had about 30 years ago, I have no baseboards. I took them off to paint the inside of the house. I painted the walls and ceilings and asked husband to please paint the baseboards. Five years later, after much reminding, he still hadn't done it so I got rid of them. When I had new carpet laid, I asked that the carpet be installed up against the wall. So no gap, no baseboards, no need to clean. And husband left years ago. So, everything worked out well in the end.

19. It was the last time a cricket got into my house.
I had to go to war, because, and I need you to understand this, I CANNOT HAVE A CRICKET IN MY HOUSE!

Anyway, I couldn't believe how dirty and dusty the baseboards were.

I cleaned like a tweaker that day, my friends.

20. At least once a month.
In the bathroom and kitchen, once a week. The kitchen has cooking stuff that might get on them and the bathroom always has powder flying through the air, making it dirty.

23. I've got proactively clean baseboards
I live in the house my mother grew up in. She was the youngest, and ALWAYS tells us how she had to wipe the baseboards every week. She wiped them enough to last three lifetimes. I wish she was taller back then so she could have dusted the higher surfaces.

24. I usually hit mine with the vacuum cleaner at least once a month.
But for real cleaning and unscuffing, I do it twice a year. Spring, and in November just before the holidays.

25. Never in this house, because I ripped them out so I can replace them
once we put in our new floors. However, I usually do them once a month or so. It's easy to do with the vacuum attachment...
