Do you have guardians in place for your pets?...
I have a neighbor who will look after my dogs when we go on vacation. I was wondering what would happen to them if for some strange reason we never make it back home. I don't know that any of my family would take them and I'm not sure the neighbor would want both of them. I'd hate for them to be split up since they were puppies together. I do have a friend in another state who would take them in a heartbeat and I'm thinking I should let the neighbor know this.

Do you have arrangements?

1. Yes.
I also have a small life insurance policy via my credit union, so that my sister doesn't have to pay for their care from her own pocket. It's only fair if she's going to take on the responsibility.

3. Hadn't thought of that...
Mine are bigger than any my friend has ever had so I should probably look into something similar.

2. YES and Tikki is our last....
She is 14 yo now. We are in our early 60's. We have had three forever family dogs
in 44 years of marriage...we know the odds are not in our favor for another forever dog.

4. Your dogs live a long time...
I am hoping mine are here a good bit longer. We had our last one 13 years and she was fine up until the last 6 months.

7. I had always thought that all my estate, as it is, should go
to any pets I have. No one gets anything except through caring well for the pets. That should be a little incentive.
