"Motown Dylan"...Pointing out the Dylan-style phrasing as being part of what made this such a major departure from previous Motown records. When you feel that you can't go ON... because all of your hope is GONE....not to mention the pronunciation of con-FYOOOO-sion and ill-OOO-sion.
One of their very best among an entire catalog of absolutely brilliant music. Levi Stubbs et al...What can you say. Powerful and soulful vocals, and then of course the amazing Funk Brothers...
